Bacon-wrapped Asparagus

Ingredients

  • 500g asparagus
  • 6 slices bacon
  • Salt & pepper
  • 2 tsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Heat braai to 180°C. 
  2. Trim ends of asparagus so that they are 12 cm long.
  3. Place in mixing bowl and toss with olive oil to coat.
  4. Season with salt and pepper.
  5. Take 5-6 asparagus spears and one slice of bacon.
  6. Wrap bacon around the asparagus.
  7. Secure with toothpick if desired. 
  8. Braai for 10 minutes.
  9. Flip and braai for an additional 10 minutes or until bacon is crispy and asparagus is cooked through.
