- 8 Slices Of White Bread
- Olive Oil
- 2 Large, Firm, Fleshy Red Tomatoes, Sliced
- 1 Large Onion, Cut Into Very Thin Slices
- 16 Basil Leaves
- 2 Cups Of Cheddar Grated
- Freshly Ground Coarse Salt And Black Pepper
- Weber Vegetable Spice
Instructions
- At The Braai
- Apply Olive Oil With A Brush On One Side Of Each Slice Of Bread.
- Make Four Sandwiches. First, Take Only Four Slices Of Bread And Place Slices Of Tomato, Thin Slices Or Rings Of Onions, Four Basil Leaves Per Slice And Cheese.
- Season With Vegetable Spices, Salt And Pepper, Sprinkle With More Olive Oil.
- Place The Remaining Four Slices Of Bread On Top, Greased Sides Outwards, And Lightly Press The Sandwiches.
- Fry Over Low Heat Until Crispy On One Side. Use A Spatula, Gently Flip And Fry Until Crispy On The Other Side. Serve Immediately.
