Ingredients
- 500 g salmon filet, 1 tbsp rub
- GARLIC BUTTER: 1 large garlic clove, 30 g parsley, 50 g butter (melted), 1 tsp rub, 1 lemon
- RUB: See SALT, PEPPER, GARLIC RUB recipe
Instructions
PREPARATION:
- Soak 1 Western Red Cedar Wood Plank in water for at least 1 hr.
- Ensure that any small bones are removed from the fish. Pat dry with paper towels.
- Gently remove the skin from the salomon.
- Brush the filet with oil and season with rub.
- GARLIC BUTTER: Peel and crush garlic, chop parsley and mix with melted butter and rub, zest and squeeze the lemon in and mix.
- Insert the Weber connect prope into the salmon to monitor your cook.
AT THE GRILL:
- Preheat the grill to 230 °C. Then set to 200 °C.
- Place the soaked Western Red Cedar Wood Plank over the heat. Gently sear both sides until the plank begins to crackle.
- Place the plank on the grill and add the salmon directly on the plank. Cook for 10-12 mins.
- Brush the salmon with GARLIC BUTTER and cook 4-5 mins.
- Remove the plank with the salmon and brush GARLIC BUTTER over the fish – let rest to reach desired core temperature.
